Anthony the Great - Sticker

This design features St. Anthony the Great (or Anthony of the Desert). Considered one of the Desert Fathers and known as the Father of all Monks. Anthony lived as a hermit in the desert near Egypt where he grew in holiness, frequently fought demons, and became an inspiration to those in the area and later for all monastics.

On either side of Anthony in this design are Characters which translate to his name in greek. The scroll that you will usually see held in the hand of St. Anthony in icons is a reference to a quote of his. "I saw the snares of the Devil spread  on all the earth.  And I groaned, saying, ‘Who can escape such snares?’  And I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Humility.'"

Above his head you will see the WearEternal crown which represents the crown of sainthood. The whole design is confined within a circle which takes the place of a halo.
