Maria Goretti - Sticker

This design features St. Maria Goretti, virgin and martyr. Maria was born in Corinaldo, Italy, on October 16, 1890 to a poor family and even though she only lived to the age of eleven, she has become an example of purity, trust in God, forgiveness.

Maria died at only eleven years old after being stabbed multiple times for refusing the advances of an older local farmhand. Before she died of the wounds in the hospital, Maria forgave her attacker, expressing her wish that he would repent and turn to Christ. Which he did after an encounter with maria during a dream in his prison cell.

The white lilies in her arms reprisent purity. Above her head you will see the WearEternal crown which represents the crown of sainthood. The whole design is confined within a circle which takes the place of a halo.
